I had a tough time finding office-friendly maternity pants that didn’t look like I’d come straight from the gym.
These cropped pants are more “work” than “workout” thanks to a permanent front crease, functional pockets, and straight leg silhouette. At the same time, the woven stretchy fabric and over-the-bump jersey waistband guarantee yoga pant comfort.

What is your retention policy for arts and crafts projects? We have recently unlocked some serious crafting skills, and I love all the results, but omg I cannot keep all of this!
On holiday (at my parents so not a total crisis) and I thought I spotted nits. Sent dad to the store, did the treatment and my kid said “I did have a bunch of lichen in my hair from climbing the walnut tree…”. He’s treated so either way but now 90% sure it was lichen.
Would you let a very responsible rising 8th grader take the train (metro north, for those in the NYC area) to school on her own? My daughter is switching to private school and working through alternatives for transportation. The train is a 10-15 minute walk from home and goes directly to the school (10-15 minute train ride). We will likely drive her to school but after school picking up is proving to be challenging at least on some days. For context she walks to school, to friends houses, flies on her own on southwest. My gut says it’s safe but want to get another opinion.
In search of pull-on straight leg pants for a business casual office environment. Not linen – ideally could be 3 season pants. Ankle length is probably preferable. I used to have a few pairs from J Crew, but can’t seem to find them anymore – probably not currently in style.
Present ideas for a boy turning 10? He plays sports but has gear and jerseys and we’re pretty good on experiences right now… need a couple things for his sisters to give him!

We have a new home and need furniture, rugs, window treatment, etc. Do you have favorite stores or items?

Any suggestions for good sales or strategies you used to save money?
My daughter is starting 4k. Does anyone have advice on specific backpacks? A lot of them seem huge for a 4 year old, although I still need one that fits a decent sized lunchbox. Also, maybe I am spending too much time online, but should I get the kind with her first name embroidered, or is it weird for randos in the street to know her name? She is obviously too young to be going anywhere alone.
Reposting from main page last week – anyone stay at Sun Valley Lodge for skiing with kids recently? It would be a big splurge for us and I’m seeing some reviews that the classic and beloved main hotel and possibly the condos have gone downhill a bit. I hate splurging for anything on a downhill slide so curious to hear any non-sponsored reviews. Going with one toddler.
