My feed is trying to convince me that this is the summer of the pull-on-pant. This comfy style is perfect if you’re expecting. You can probably size up in a non-maternity version or try this one designed with pregnancy in mind.
These relaxed maternity pants have a soft twill texture, eco-responsible fabric, and stretchy waistband. The modern wide-leg silhouette is an obvious choice for the weekend, but it also works in a more casual office with a polished top.
Cache Coeur’s Sahel maternity pants are $115-$135 at Nordstrom and come in anis (pictured), copper, and beige. They’re available in sizes XS-L.

What is your favorite place for little girl fancy shoes and purses? We have a family wedding coming up, I thrifted my 4yo daughter a cute pink dress and promised her we would go shopping for a fun purse and shoes. Budget of $50-$75 total.
Daycare is closed this week, which has been on the calendar for literally months, we planned to take it off for a “staycation” (which I absolutely hate but life got in the way) and yet my husband is acting surprised and saying he needs to take a call right during the time we were supposed to go somewhere fun. Really making this staycation more fun already.
Back in the office for the first time in 6+ years and have a rising K-er who will need to bring lunch for the first time in the fall.
1. Need recs for an insulated lunch bag for me, as mine seems to have self destructed while sitting in a closet for 6+ years and is no longer very insulated. Shoulder strap a plus, but everything I’m seeing is huge.
2. Need recs for a leakproof and easy to clean way for kiddo to bring lunch to school.
Thanks!
Friends! My 5.5 year old/rising Ker has started this really fun habit where he puts off going #1 when he’s doing something he likes, and then races to the potty last minute. All fine, but sometimes he does get smelly wet spots. We’ve talked to him about this, etc. Any other tips? It’s not a “doesn’t realize he needs to go” issue it’s “thinks he can hold it” issue. It’s only #1, #2 is fine.
The internet told me everything from within range of normal, to a ND tendency. Many IRL friends said their boys went through a similar stage at this age and eventually figured it out. I just prefer that my kid doesn’t smell like pee….
Did everyone have a nice 4th weekend? Despite the heat ours was incredibly fun but it was lots of late nights and pool time and I feel like we are all dragging starting off the week.
I’m sure somebody has a solution for this… my feral raccoon of a third child is necessitating me to lock up snacks… how do I do this in a way that doesn’t give my older kids a complex?
Longer version – we keep packaged snacks in the house because of a combination of convenience and really strict school allergy protocols. My older kids know the packaged snacks are only for when we’re out of the house and like – might grab a granola bar or bag of goldfish but it’s not a big issue. The four year old though… he has developed this fun habit where he ransacks the pantry specifically between 6-7am on weekends or when adults are doing crazy things like cooking dinner and will open multiple packages. It’s at the point where I am considering like a bike lock here.
Any good solutions? Like is there a combo lock that doesn’t make me look like a 90’s mom who put her 11 year old on weight watchers?
