I feel so stupid. I just got my hand slapped at work (for a very reasonable reason, and the feedback was delivered very graciously by my boss).
On top of that, someone junior to me that I indirectly manage told me that she feels left out by our team. This same employee says very uncomfortable/rude/insensitive things to everyone she works with, so I get why she may feel that way, as people are trying to maintain a professional distance. I know for a fact that no one has been rude to her, and she’s always extended regular pleasantries, but she likely feels she’s owed more. Selfishly, I also don’t like the idea of her going around talking about me/my team/our work like that.
My workplace is usually very, very low on this type of drama but I’m very grumpy and annoyed about it all.
Is anyone else having problems with the text size of the comments? It got smaller recently, and is hard to read now.
Our house sustained major damage through no fault of our own and we’re going through the homeowners process. We are able to stay in the house for now. We feel good about the process so far but any tips or tricks for this process? Helping our kids? They’re dealing OK and we keep telling them not to worry about any of it, but obviously their home was majorly damaged (don’t want to out myself).

Preemptively disappointed about the 4th of July weekend – I’m sad that the 250th anniversary has been so overtaken by politics and terrible leadership that it’s basically a non-event, and it looks like we’ll be rained out of even regular activities and fireworks. This was the first year we were thinking of having DD stay up late enough to watch. What are other people up to this weekend?
