Fancy summer soiree on the horizon? This cute raffia clutch won’t break the bank.
This unique, handwoven, cloud-shaped bag fits all the essentials for a night out. Keep your outfit neutral (think natural linen or nautical navy) so the “blood orange” color really pops.
Banana Republic’s small raffia clutch is $120.

How do you decide when to seek mental health support for your kid? Backstory – DH and I both have siblings with some serious mental health challenges and so it’s always on my radar for our own kids as they are definitely genetically predisposed. I have a 7 year old who engages in skin picking. It stopped for a while and then restarted. My sister many moons ago, her first ‘symptoms’ of her severe anxiety was also skin picking (though in a much worse way than my kid) and my parents just thought she was itching mosquito bites and in retrospect realize what it was. Currently my daughter’s behavior or potential anxiety etc is not interfering significantly with her daily life. Is that the “test” of whether it’s time to seek additional support? We had a full neuropsych eval done about a year ago and there are some adhd/anxiety suspicions. I realize I’m kind of rambling here but I think I’m scarred from what my parents went through with my sister (and what i did as a kid as the sibling) and would love to avoid that/be more proactive but also don’t want to be treating things unnecessarily. Thoughts?
What is the earliest age you’d attempt a long-haul (12+ hours) with your kid? Husband and I would love to travel to East Asia (we’re based in NY) but we have a 3 year old.
Inspired by a question on the main:
What is an area of unexpectedly great compatibility between you and your kiddo, for those of you whose kiddos are old enough that they’re establishing their own taste/preferences?
Movie night suggestions for 2 8-year-olds? They don’t like intense suspense or two scary, but otherwise are pretty open to whatever.
Thinking about yesterday’s poster with the active 7yo visiting her friend with the baby in another country! Saw the post late, but hope you managed to get out and about (and that both moms realize that neither of you is necessarily wrong, your kids are just at very different stages and have very different needs).
We’re supposed to meet family for a vacation starting Saturday (although it’s everyone’s travel day so we might not actually see them until Sunday depending on road conditions). This trip has been planned for a year. Now we have: one baby (mine) with a cough, one adult with a post-surgical complication, one adult with a mental health issue who probably won’t come, and as of last night, one 18-month-old who has been throwing up all night. How doomed is this trip? We’re not sharing living space with the 18mo but we have all been planning a lot of time together for all the young cousins to meet.
