A necklace with a goldfill necklace and glass beads

Something on your mind? Chat about it here.

I’m always on the hunt for unique, office-friendly jewelry that won’t break the bank. This pretty raindrop necklace caught my eye.

This fun, delicate necklace is made by hand so each one is unique. It’s also versatile — while a great choice for Monday through Friday, it would also work for a night out or summer wedding.

Isshi’s Raindrop Necklace is $175 at Nordstrom and available in three colors.

Anyone want to talk me down from the ledge? I’m kind of horrified by how much my 6 year old (rising 1st grade) has regressed in reading and math over the last couple months (a month of summer, and the last month of the school year when they did basically nothing academic due to field trips, parties etc). I know summer slide is a thing, but didn’t realize it would happen to this degree. We’ve been trying to work on reading at home but she’s very resistant. I went full Tiger Mom and took her for an evaluation at Kumon but their system doesn’t seem very phonics based so I’m hesitant to sign up. Plus their main thing is daily homework that we’d have to supervise so I’m not sure it would solve the real issue which is her being reluctant to do school work with her parents. I’m not worried that she isn’t reading yet (she’s young-ish for her grade and it’s pretty normal to learn in first grade where we live) but the regression is disheartening.
